NONGPOH | Feb 28, 2019:

An ambulance, on its way to Guwahati ferrying patients, met with an accident in Nongpoh at 12 noon today.

Fortunately, the six occupants of the ambulance including the patient and his relatives escaped with minor injuries.

It was informed that the ambulance (ML 05 0759), driven by one Batskhem Nongtraw collided with a jeep (ML 10 9211), driven by one Hillar Syngkli at Mawdiangum village in near Nongpoh.

It was informed that the while the driver of the Ambulance was overtaking a truck, one jeep that was moving backward, appeared on its path, causing the driver to loose control and directly rammed into the jeep from the rear side.

Police informed that the ambulance was damaged from the front right portion.
