As the 3-day work strike called by the residents of the Cardiology Department, North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong enters the second day on Thursday, the Institute’s administration has called for a meeting today, the same of which was rejected by the faculty members and SRDs of the department owing to the absence of the Director, Dr DM Thappa.

Irked by the alleged adamant attitude of the Director of North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), the resident doctors of the department of Cardiology of this premier institute have decided to stop carrying out routine work in the department from June 20 onwards for three days.

The resident doctors of North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) Cardiology department, Shillong have threatened to boycott routine hospital duty starting from Wednesday if the authority fails to address their grievances pertaining to the conduct of examination process for DM Cardiology Course in ‘morally, ethically and legally correct manner’.

Call it a miracle or wonders of medicinal herbs, this traditional healer from Mawphlang has managed to treat a patient suffering from bipolar disorder, memory loss using only medicinal herbs. 

A local medicinal practitioner from Kyiem village near Mawphlang, Mrs. Jngersy Kharshandi has managed to cure a 58-year-old woman, Dorothy Gonsalves, who suffered from bipolar disorder and memory loss.

Honey bees population is declining in state; Thanks to indiscriminate use of pesticides!
