The Shillong Civil Hospital and NEIGRIHMS have denied the reports regarding the alleged discrimination of HIV positive patients, who require immediate surgery.

Health and Family Welfare Minister, Alexander Laloo Hek informed that all the private hospitals in Shillong city would be empanelled for implementing the MHIS-IV within this month.’

Ban on tobacco products near educational institutions comes into force in WGH

TURA | June 30, 2019:

In a welcoming move, the district administration of West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya has banned all tobacco related items from being sold near any educational institutions.

This was informed by the deputy commissioner of WGH, Ram Singh, though a communiqué.
