Unidentified man uses cover of darkness to rape 70-yr-old woman in SWGH

In a shocking incident, a 70-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unidentified man at a place located close to the border with Bangladesh in South West Garo Hills on October 8. The accused used the cover of darkness to firstly rape and then escape after the incident.

LRO threatens to move court over destruction of Seng Khasi’s altar in Khongthong village

The Legal Rights Observatory (LRO), a legal rights group affiliated to RSS, has threatened to approach the Meghalaya High Court if the district administration fails to initiate action against people who are responsible for the destruction of a worship place of the Khasi traditional faith at Khongthong village in Sohra on June this year.
