Shillong traders down shutters in respect of slain CRPF jawans

SHILLONG | Feb 18, 2019:

As a mark of respect and solidarity towards the sacrifices made by the 49 CRPF jawans in Jammu and Kashmir (Pulwama), the Shillong Road Side Hawkers’ Association today pulled down their shutters from 9 am to 12 noon and took out a silent rally in the city main commercial hub– Khyndai Lad.

Mukul, Dikkanchi congratulate Miani after winning Ampati seat

Ampati, May 31, 2018: 

After the Congress managed to secure a thumping victory in Ampati by polls, the party is now the single largest party in Meghalaya. Congress’s candidate Miani D Shira, daughter of former Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma won the seat by over 3191 votes.
