Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong said that the government would consider winding up the District Council Affairs (DCA) department if Governor, Tathagata Roy wants to by-pass the State Government on issues afflicting the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) in the State.

An FIR have been filed against two Facebook users by the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association (AGHSSASTA) after both posts indirectly linked the teachers to the “Shoot the newly married Agatha Sangma and Dr Patrick Marak on wedding day” remark on social media.
