Expressing happiness over the efforts of the Meghalaya Government to develop the tribal population in the State, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Jaswantsinh Bhabhor assured that the Centre would release more funds for the overall development and progress of the State.
“I am satisfied with the efforts of the Meghalaya Government for effectively implementing various schemes for the development of tribals in the State,” Bhabhor said while taking to reporters after holding the review meeting with the State Government officials and Social Welfare Minister, Kyrmen Shylla here today.
According to the Union Minister, under the able leadership of Conrad K Sangma, the State Government has satisfactorily implemented the various schemes which are meant for the tribal population of the State.
Bhabhor said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to help the tribals in the country to move forward.
It may be mentioned that during the meeting, the Union Minister and the State Government officials also discussed about the proposals which the Meghalaya Government is required to submit for different schemes and programmes for the tribals.
