Shillong, Oct 08, 2018:
Meghalaya MLA and Congress leader, Clement Marak passed away in New Delhi today evening after a prolonged sickness. He was 58 years old.
It was informed that Clement was admitted in a private hospital in New Delhi for the last few months till he breathed his last today at around 8.15 pm.
The former State Power Minister won the 2018 Assembly election from Selsella constituency.
It may be mentioned that with Clement’s death, the strength of the Congress party in Meghalaya has gone down to 19 while the National People’s Party (NPP) is currently at 20.
