GUWAHATI, March 31, 2018:

An officer and three personnel of the Meghalaya SF-10 were arrested by the Assam police on Friday afternoon for firing at dogs in public with a purpose to eat them in Morogdola area of Sonapur.

 

According to sources, an officer, Sanjeev R Marak of  Special Force-10 of Meghalaya Police including other three persons namely Terang Amver, Tengsan Sangma and Fiu Marak were first caught by the public and later handed over to the Sonapur Police for open firing on dogs in public.

Talking to the media, Officer-in-Charge, Sonapur Police Station said that the arrested persons have confessed that they did the firing for dog meat.

A 9 mm pistol and 10 rounds of live bullets were recovered from their possession and an auto-ricksaw(ML 10B 0813) was also seized by the police.​
