Shillong, Aug 31, 2018: 

Four persons sustained injuries in separate accidents reported from across the state while one person landed in a hospital after being hit by a rod from behind after he had an argument with his neighbour in East Garo Hills.

In the first case, one Hemolina Marak (52) fell down from a moving bike at Dengasi in West Garo Hills at around 8:32 am on Thursday  and suffered minor injury. Wound care & First aid was done and the victim was shifted to Tura civil hospital by 108 Tura Civil Based ambulance .

Another Dilseng T Marak (19) met with an accident at Tyrsad Main Road around 4:59 pm on Thursday as the bike he was riding skidded and he fell off the Bike. The victim sustained injuries, wound care & First aid done and he was shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Mawphlang Based Ambulance.

In another case, one Riban Kynjai Kharbyngngar (18) was hit by a Bolero Pick up while he was sitting in a Maruti car at Laitkor Madan Mawarliang around 10.13 pm last nigh. The victim suffered head pain injury and was shifted to Nazareth hospital by 108 Smit based Ambulance.


Another Steven Dkhar (22) travelling on a bike was hit by a truck at Mawlai Nongkwar near Petrol pump around 11.20 pm last night. The victim sustained laceration on right parital and left palm and on right lower leg; first aid and wound care done and was shifted to Civil hospital Shillong by 108 Shillong civil based ambulance.

In an assault case, one Hamidur Islam (45), from Williamnagar near PWD in East Garo Hills, was hit by a rod from behind after he had an argument with his neighbour around 11:57 am yesterday. Victim sustained injury; wound care & First aid done and he was shifted by 108 Williamnagar Based Ambulance to Williamnagar Civil Hospital.

On Wednesday, three of a family were injured in a road mishap which took place at 3rd Mile near Shillong. One Bidalin Jyrwa (42), Sandaris Jyrwa (44) and Thidora Jyrwa (20), who were travelling in an Alto Car, met with an accident at 3rd Mile near Bormanik College as their vehicle hit the Bolero while trying to overtake the same on Wednesday evening.
