TURA, Feb 9:

The South West Garo Hills police today managed to rescue the three Assam-based traders, who were kidnapped by miscreants earlier this week, in an early morning raid. They were rescued this morning from near the village of Taktaki under Ampati PS in SWGH.

However, the gang behind the abduction was able to escape while the police were busy securing the hostages.

The three identified as Masidul Islam (24), Bipul Miah (24) and Aptar Hussian (18) apparently went missing sometime between Feb 5-6 though no initial reports were available with the police administration.
