In an effort to maintain law and order, a social activist, Nilbath Ch Marak, has recently submitted a complaint to the CEM of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), Dipul Marak after a businessman hailing from Williamnagar had illegally constructed a go-down over Council land in the Williamnagar Nakham Bazaar, EGH.

According to the complaint, Samir Kundu, a local businessman illegally dismantled the GHADC Market Shed in the market and constructed a private godown in its place.

The complaint was submitted to the CEM on Oct 4 with a copy provided to the deputy commissioner of EGH, Swapinil Tembe, SP of EGH as well as the OC of Williamnagar PS.

The activist has sought action against the businessman for the illegal act and also asking for the dismantling of the structure in question.
