Shillong: After his exit from the Congress, leaders from various political parties visited veteran political leader and former Meghalaya Chief Minister, D.D. Lapang.
The leaders of the Meghalaya BJP led by its president, Shibun Lyngdoh and vice president, David Kharsati met Lapang at his residence in Lower Lachumiere on Friday last.
Dr Lapang in his statement today said that the leaders of the BJP wanted him to work together for the overall interest of the State and the people.
Meawhile, the UDP leaders led by party working president, Bindo Mathew Lanong and party general secretary Jemino Mawthoh also met Lapang on the same day.
The veteran political leader said that the UDP leaders appreciated his spirit to continuously serve the people of the State.
“The UDP leadership also made an offer to join hands with the party to work for the betterment of the State.” Dr Lapang stated.
