The rumours about the leakage about the results were spread after one of the website NVSHQ.Org had uploaded the results of last year.

Following the rumours, there was panic among the students and school authorities if the results had really leaked.

After proper verification of the matter, the Board authorities found out that the reason for the rumours was due to the mischief of the unknown website which had published last year results.

“We have found that the website had published the results of last year. We had verified properly we saw that the website had change only the year since last year the results were declared on May 25. But they had mentioned as May 25, 2019,” MBoSE Joint Director, M. Marbaniang informed here today.

He also said that the list of meritorious students which was published in the website was also of last year. Meanwhile, MBoSE Joint Director said that they have written to the Cyber Crime Cell of the Meghalaya Police to block the website.

“We have also requested the police find out the people who are running the website. It is really unfortunate that they are attempting to defame the image of the Board,” he said.

According to Marbaniang, they have requested the police if they can book the people under the various provisions of Cyber Laws.

Meanwhile, he urged the parents, students and school authorities not to fall prey to rumours spread in the social media.

“We will issue an official release through the media on the announcement results,” MBoSE joint director said. He also informed that the results of 12 Arts and Class X are likely to be announced next week.
