The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the ICSE Class 10 and ISC Class 12 results 2019 today at 3 p.m .
Meghalaya schools fared well with many schools recording pass percentage above 90 percent.
Among the successful schools were Meghalaya Police Public School (MPPS), Shillong which recorded 100 per cent pass percentage with all 30 students clearing the ICSE 10th examination.
Shillong Public School recorded 90 per cent pass percentage with 27 out of 30 students having cleared the examination. The topper from the school is Wanshanlang Kharmalki who secured 91 percent.
Jowai Public School also recorded 100 per cent pass percentage with all 26 students getting through the exams. The topper from this school is Heibhahmi Suchen who secured 86.6 percent.
Pine Mount School, Shillong also recorded a 100 per cent pass percentage in the ISC class 12 examination declared today. The final tabulation of the ICSE exams is however yet to be retrieved by the school due to some technical defect with the Council’s website.
The results of St. Edmund’s School, Shillong as well as Loreto school was yet to be known until the filing of this report.
It may be mentioned that for the first time ever, ICSE and ISC will have compartmental exams allowing unsuccessful candidates a second chance at clearing their papers in the same year.
Declaring the 2019 results on Tuesday, the CISCE also said the pass percentage for the 1.96 lakh students who attempted its Class 10 or Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination was 98.54%.
The joint toppers were Juhi Rupesh Kajaria of Mumbai and Manhar Bansal of Muktsar, Punjab, who both scored 99.6%.
