Shillong, Aug 31, 2018: 

As a gesture of solidarity with the people of flood-hit state of Kerala, the NEIGRIHMS Resident Doctors’ Association (NRDA) Shillong on Saturday extended its support to the cause by donating a sum of Rs 31, 100 to the Government of Kerala-Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Kerala today, NRDA president Dr Ete Tony said “We are deeply concerned about the recent disaster caused by flood in Kerala. We pray for the people of Kerala in this moment of crisis. May the Almighty be with the people of this state at this hour of nature’s imperfection.”

As the state is slowly recovering from this calamity, moral and financial support has been pouring into the state from various parts of the country, though the Centre is keen to come out of this mess on its own by declining foreign funding.
