The Government has decided to extend night curfew in the entire state capital for a few more days even as suspension of mobile internet will be reviewed after 24 hours, officials said today.

Night curfew is enforced from 6 pm till 7 am the next day in the 14 affected areas and from 9 pm till 5 am the next day in the entire city, they said.

“The home department today reviewed the situation in the state capital and decided that the night curfew will continue for few more days,” East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner P S Dkhar told reporters.

He said the decision to extend the night curfew was because the government is not sure on the situation even as the administration is closely monitoring the situation.

The district administrator also said that suspension of mobile internet facilities will continue for another 24 hours.
