Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma following his massive victory in South Tura.
In his tweet, PM Modi extended best wishes to Conrad to take the state of Meghalaya to new heights of growth.

Joining the congratulation chorus, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio on Monday extended his congratulations to Meghalaya CM on winning the by-poll from South Tura Assembly Constituency with a huge margin of 8421 votes.

Stating that Sangma’s ‘stunning’ victory is proof of the people’s belief in the NPP National president leadership, the Nagaland CM said “I wish you all success as you steer the State of Meghalaya to greater development and prosperity. I look forward to working together with you in common issues that concern our respective States in particular and the Northeastern region in general.”
Assam Health Minister and BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma also congratulated the NPP national president on his victory.

It may be mentioned that Conrad Sangma won the bypolls by 8421 votes, the highest margin in this year’s elections. He defeated Congress’ Charlotte Momin, Ind John Leslee Sangma and Kris Kabul Sangma.
