Shillong, July 28, 2018:
A pregnant woman hailing from Nohron village in Mawkynrew had to undergo medical treatment after she was bitten by a snake on her right foot, on Friday.
The woman identified as Rophina Lynshang (34), who complained of snake bite on her right foot, was conscious and oriented with swelling of right leg when help came her way. She was given necessary pre-hospital care and shifted to Smit PHC by 108 Smit based ambulance.
ACCIDENTS ACROSS THE STATE
In an accident case, one person sustained injuries when a vehicle (Maruti Car) he was travelling in hit a moving truck at 7th mile near farm in East Khasi Hills on Thursday night at 10.39 pm. The injured person identified as Fedrick Marwein sustained laceration with mild bleeding and abrasion of the right knee. He was later shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong by 108 SHG CIVIL based Ambulance.
In another accident reported on Thursday at around 7.43 pm, two persons identified as Harold Paswett (36) and Mark Lamin (38) were injured when their scooty skidded and met with an accident at Mawlai Mawiong. The first victim had bruising injury on the forehead and right arm and the second victim suffered laceration on the forehead and mouth. They were shifted by 108 Lawmali based ambulance to Civil Hospital Shillong.
